What time do we need to arrive?
Normally 10 minutes prior to your activity start time, your booking confirmation will include details of your arrival time, location, specific instructions and our full contact details.
Can I drop off my young person and collect him/her later?
It is a requirement that at least one adult (over 18) remains on site with their young person.
Is there a viewing area?
The activity will be based at a Portakabin, providing a base and comfortable area for spectators.
Is this a one to one session?
YDS Taster is based on a ratio of 1 instructor and 3 young people to a car.
YDS Taster Solo is based on a ratio of 1 instructor and 1 young person to a car.
YDS Level 1 – 2 – 3 – 4 is based on a ratio of 1 instructor and 2 young people to a car.
Can I take photo’s/video?
You are welcome to take photo’s or video of your own child. Should a parent/adult prefer that there child is not recorded in any media format, please make this known to staff on the day.
Photo’s and video’s taken on behalf of Autotutors’Young Driving School may be used in marketing and online including social media. No personal names or information will be published. You will be asked for written permission on the day.
Are refreshments available?
Tea, coffee, cold soft drinks crisps and chocolate can be purchased.
Is a toilet available?
A Portaloo is situated at the activity cabin.
How safe is the activity?
The training cars are fully dual controlled, the driving instructors are fully qualified DSA ADI, checked DBS/CRB and highly experienced, maximum driving speed is 25mph.
Who are the staff?
Tim Witham is the principal trainer and is a fully qualified DVSA ADI (Driving Standards Agency Approved Driving Instructors), qualified to a high level and CRB/DBS checked to enhanced level.
Full insurance comprising of: vehicle, public liability and public indemnity is included
Additional local staff are carefully selected, insured and trained to provide a top quality service.
