A successful day at Ellesmere College, delivering a hazard awareness presentation to the Year 9 groups.
The young people certainly seemed to think about their exposure to risk on the roads as pedestrians, cyclists, passengers in cars and on buses.

Understanding Autism
Alex Lowery and his family do a great job in raising the awareness and understanding of Autism and how peoples lives develop as a result.
Last week I attended a local conference hosted by Alex and supported by several organisations; the event was designed to create more knowledge of Autism and Employment and it was a really well attended day.
As a driving school for young people both pre and post 17 years of age, it’s been great to work with many people that are on the autistic spectrum and I plan to develop this aspect of the business to reach out to more people like Alex.

Under 17 Youth Club drives in Denbigh!
It was a pleasure to welcome a local youth club organisation to YDS at Lleweni Parc today. The sun shone and the young people enjoyed learning the practical skills of driving. How many metres per second does a vehicle cover at 30mph was one of the questions asked to the groups and their interesting responses gave way to talk of reaction times and the effects of mobile phone use….the youngsters were surprised at the outcomes and it helped them to form responsible attitudes towards driving.
